  Trapping a Wittness in blood doctrine...

  if the society claims "life" represents blood, could not john 12:12,13 be applied to a blood transfusion?

  Maybe this has been posted before, I searched but didn't find anything. If the society claims "life" represents blood, could not John 12:12,13 be applied to a blood transfusion? Stay with me here. John 15:12,13 says, "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.". So we could in a sense, "lay down our life" giving life to our friends by blood. I know this is goofy but it falls right in line with the WTS goofy logic.

  the sixteen child abuse settlements in california.

  now we have a perpetrator of this crime let back on the loose in great britain.

  I think the one thing they can't exscape and this is from talking to some active JW's is, "who will pay for this in the end?". Bring home the fact that it reflects on the "orginiazation" as a whole. Since these people were paid with everyones money it HAS to reflect on the org, and since Jesus faithful slave ordained it as good it HAS to reflect on the org. If it reflects on the org as a whole how could there possibly be any personal accountability, so therefore doesn't the whole org have to pay? After asking this I was asked, "well what are you supposed to do then?". I came back with "well not give them money and tell everyone I know about it so the problem can be solved". I just got a sad blank knowing stare.

  While it's a tough read, for me it's amazing. If you have a interest in purely biblical stuff you would probably greatly enjoy it. If your just looking for dirt on the dubs I would suggest going else where.

  Reading " Crisis of Consience", What did you Learn, How did it affect you?

  thought this would be good to discuss for the newbies and others just getting out of the witnesses, so they can have their thinking and appetites whetted of things they never knew coming out from under the witness organizations spell.

  i know for myself, after reading this book, it totally clarified what the reasons were for all the control in the organization.

  and i was informed of things i never had a clue that were going on behind the bethel scenes.

  I am enjoying "In Search Of Christian Freedom" more then COC. One thing I never realised was just how little prayer and bible study actually go on in the GB. I just always assumed no matter how wrong they might be that it was done almost in a "high priest" type fashion. Almost everything else I expected. ISOCF goes beyong the pale though to show just how circular and goofy the biblical reasoning is behind most of the theology. Really amazing stuff.

  Sinning against the Holy Spirit - Unforgivable? How does one commit it?

  i seem to remember a doctrine that says that the only sin that is unforgivable is a sin against the holy spirit.

  is apostasy a sin against the holy spirit?

  My understanding was that sinning against the "holy spirit" was accepting Jesus, gaining holy spirit then rejecting both it and Jesus as your only sourch of salvation.

  My bro is dating a girl in Florida whom he met online. This girl is a active dub, as is he. Well evidently about a month ago, they had a talk being negative about this very thing. Well evidently the elder giving the talk decided it was time for some snooping! So he set up a fake Myspace account with no picture and would message JW kids around the area trying to trap them in to saying something bad. Well evidently this dumbass gave out his REAL email address to one of the kids and go figured out! Well needless to say he lost almost every bit of respect from the kids in the hall and had the embarassment of giving that talk with everyone knowing about it. It evidently caused quite a fuss in the hall. HA!

  wow so saturday while working on a hangover (fun friday night).

  my ex girlfriend calls me up at about ten in the morning explaining that she wants to have a pool party at her place.

  Ha I wasn't exactly having the right motives myself. So I probably would have somehow made an ass of myself I am sure. I am aware of the spanish protcol as my brother and mother were very active in the spanish halls around here. The thing is they looked very Americanized (?). I just got the vibe they were bi-lingual but I was probably wrong. I was tempted to initiate convo but felt it would be in bad taste. Why bother them if they aren't bothering me?
